Biei Takushinkan

Takushinkan is located about 12 minutes by car from downtown Biei. About 50 minutes by car from Asahikawa.

The site of the gymnasium of an elementary school that was closed down has been remodeled into a facility where photographs are still on display.

It is one of the most famous tourist spots in Biei.

Required time: about 47 minutes (36.2km)

・Take Route 1/Hokkaido Route 90 and National Route 237 to Biei Shinsei

・Take Route 39 in the southwest direction toward Loop Route 1/Route 90.

・Turn left at Nagayama 3-jo 4-chome (intersection) and enter Loop Route 1/Hokkaido Route 90 (Asahikawa Airport/Asahikawa Ramen Village/ Loop Route 1 sign)

・Turn left at Asahijin-cho (intersection) and enter Route 294.

・Turn right and enter Asahikamicho/Nishikagura Route 2 Route 5

・Turn left at Midorigaoka Higashi 2-jo 3-chome (intersection)

・Turn right onto Route 237 (Furano/Biei signs)

・Turn left at Biei-cho Hanazono 2-chome (intersection) and enter Prefectural Route 213 (Biei city/Kamifurano/Biei-cho Omachi 2-chome)

・Turn right at the intersection with Hondori.

・After turning right, turn left to reach the destination

Access from New Chitose Airport

▷ Access by car

・Enter Kashiwadai on Route 337.

・Take the Hokkaido Odan Expressway/Doto Expressway and Route 237 until Minamisenzan, Furano City.

・Proceed on Route 298 to the destination of Biei-cho Nova.

・Turn right (Rokugo/Hokkaido Road 544/Rokugo Forest)

・Turn left at the intersection with Route 544.

・Proceed along Route 253/Route 298 and continue on Route 298.

・Turning diagonally to the right, turn right and enter Route 353.

・Turn left (sign for Biei)

・Turn right → turn left → turn left to the destination

It is recommended to travel by car as it is a bit difficult to reach by public transportation.

3. Finally shooting!
